Decimal, fractional and American odds
Odds on a betting site can be displayed in three formats. The same price is expressed in three different ways — the result is the same, only the notation differs.

Example 1 — Team A (underdog)
Stake ৳200, decimal odds 3.00 (fractional 2/1, American +200). If Team A wins, return is ৳600 — ৳400 profit plus ৳200 original stake back. If Team A loses, the ৳200 is gone.
Example 2 — Team B (favourite)
Decimal odds 1.80 (fractional 4/5, American -125). American minus odds show how much you need to stake to make ৳100 profit — here that is ৳125. A ৳200 stake returns ৳360 if Team B wins — including ৳160 profit.

American odds work a little differently
Plus (+) odds show how much profit you make on a ৳100 bet. Minus (−) odds show how much you need to stake to make ৳100 profit. Decimal odds are the easiest for beginners — multiply your stake by the odds to get the total return.
In-play betting during the match
Live or in-play betting means you can still place bets after the match has started. Odds change after every wicket, after every boundary — sometimes quickly, sometimes gradually.
Say Team A's opening batsman is dismissed early. At that moment, Team A's odds of winning increase (because they are now in a weaker position) and Team B's odds shorten. As the required run rate rises or falls with each over, the total runs market moves too.
After the powerplay, through the middle overs, and in the death overs at the end — odds fluctuate most during these three phases. In T20, a single six can shift the momentum of the entire match.
